Who We Are

We are a foster-based rescue operating on Dharug Country in so-called Western Sydney.

The Kitty Coven Rescue is run by volunteers in our own time, and are working towards becoming a registered charity.

Our Story ✨️🪄

Our story began when a former work colleague needed to urgently rehome their cat, Nala. At the time, we had two bunnies Sadie and Olive and initially said no, thinking it might not be ideal for the bunnies to have a feline sister. But as the days passed, we couldn’t stop worrying about her. In the end, we opened our home and our hearts, knowing we had enough space to make it work.

We quickly fell madly in love with Nala. It took time and patience to introduce her to Sadie and Olive, but being part of that journey was so rewarding. Today, they live together in harmony, a little family we cherish deeply. 🦋

Every now and then, we felt the pull to adopt a second cat. Two years later, a post in a vegan Facebook group caught our eye, it was a call for people to help feed a cat colony. That simple moment was the spark that lit our path into rescue work. 🧙‍♀️

Since September 2024, we’ve been dedicated to cat rescue, learning, growing, and pouring our hearts into giving cats the safe, loving homes they deserve.

Our efforts are dedicated to the cats who missed their chances to find loving homes.

What We Believe

Behind every hiss, frightened glance and attempt to hide from the world is a cat worthy of love.

At Kitty Coven Rescue, we believe that every cat deserves a second chance through rescue, TNR, rehabilitation and adoption. Not every cat begins life on a cozy bed. Too many cats are born in back alleys, carparks and forgotten corners of the world. Their stories may start with sadness, but they don’t have to end there. We are here for the cats who have been overlooked or abandoned on the street, the cats who need time, patience and to be unconditionally loved. We do this because behind every hiss, frightened glance and attempt to hide from the world is a cat worthy of love. Every cat deserves a chance to find their way home.
