Adoption

If you currently have any animals, list how many, breeds, ages and whether they are desexed & vaccinated?
For introductions, we usually recommend about 3 months before they meet the new cat.

Have you ever returned a pet to a rescue, breeder or any place you received them from? If so, why?

Where will the cat be decompressing (spending their first 3 weeks)? Do you agree to keep the cat in a room at the beginning to give the cat a chance to decompress and get to know you and your home slowly? Please give them 3 weeks before letting them into the rest of the home. Shy ones, they may need longer, every cat is an individual. Check in with us if you need any advice.

Have you familiarised yourself with cat behaviour and common life-threatening health issues?

Where will the cat(s) stay while you are away?

Under which circumstances would you rehome a cat? Do you have an alternative plan for the cat if your circumstances change what is that plan? Do you agree to notify Kitty Coven if you can no longer care for the cat?

Do you agree to send us a video tour of your home? Please show us the front of your home, windows, doors and any existing animals.

Do you consent to a home visit before approval?

Do you agree to notify Kitty Coven immediately if the cat goes missing?

Will you be ok with giving updates via photos, videos, and visits?

If you already have cats, what are their living arrangements? Indoor only, inside/outside or indoor but occasionally outside?

Are you willing to keep this cat strictly indoors for their entire life?
